What is Dialectical Behaviour Therapy?

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a treatment for individuals who have difficulties managing intense emotions (sometimes called emotional dysregulation) such as anger, anxiety and impulsive behaviours. DBT is a cognitive behavioural therapy, meaning it ¬†focuses on the role of sabotaging thoughts and beliefs and problem behaviours.
